Smart Solar was established in 2003 by Jonathan Stobart to develop and market products powered by renewable solar energy for the home and garden. Since then, Smart Solar has grown into one of the world’s leading solar powered garden product suppliers. Sales have grown over 400% from 2003 to 2008, reflecting the increasing demand for products powered by renewable energy.
Smart Solar head office is just outside Oxford in the UK, with additional offices in the USA, Germany and France, and a quality office in Asia.
Our products are sold through major retailers, garden centres, catalogues and e-commerce companies worldwide.
We are committed to developing and marketing solar powered products that are high quality, innovative and reliable. Many of our products are manufactured from natural materials, such as slate, terracotta and hand made mosaics. Most products are designed in-house and manufactured to our own specification. We own intellectual property in the form of utility patents for certain key product families and design protection for various products in the range.
