All sales are final. If you made an error in ordering and wish to return an item, you must call 813-343-5775 and obtain a return authorization (RA). Returned items must be in original NEW condition and not used.
On your return authorization you will find the address to return your item. Note, not all items are returned to the same location. Our customer service center and our warehouses are not necessarily in the same location. Please do not automatically send it back to the address that it came from. Additionally, you will find our email address to send us the tracking number of you r return. If you do not have a computer, you can provide the tracking number to us over the phone.
When you ship the part back to us, you must get a tracking number (from FedEx, UPS, etc) or a delivery confirmation number (from US Mail) in order to prove that it made it back to our location. Once we receive the return tracking number from you for your package, we will confirm receipt from one of our locations and it will be inspected.
If the returned item is still in new condition and is not damaged then we will issue a refund. We do not issue refunds for shipping & handling fees incurred when you placed your original order or when you ship it back to us. A 20% inspection, processing and restocking fee will be deducted from your refund unless the item returned is the result of simple error. If an error was made by a Smart Solar customer service representative and you received the wrong part then you will receive a refund for the total amount including the original shipping and handling and you will not incur a restocking fee. If the returned item is damaged in shipping when we receive it due to being packaged poorly (item is loose in box, no packing material), you will be promptly notified. No credit will be issued. You may have us ship the damaged item back to you at your expense or scrapped.
If the returned item does not make it back to us and ends up lost in transit, then you need to contact the carrier you used regarding your lost package. Smart Solar is not responsible for any packages lost in transit by the shipping carrier, any unauthorized returns of items to any of our locations or any costs associated with such returns.
